Matryoshka dolls I once bought in Poland

This past weekend I stopped by a small gift shop that had matryoshka dolls on display. The shelf proudly had a placard advertising that the dolls were made in Russia.

When I asked the shopkeeper if they were still importing these dolls, she responded “Sadly no. With the latest sanctions we’re no longer allowed to wire them money.”
