I have always daydreamed about having a personal assistant. A minion of sorts that I could punt tasks to, to help me balance everything I want to accomplish. Perhaps that’s why I’ve so readily embraced artificial intelligence (AI).

And while AI has yet to bring me my coffee like I see assistants do in the movies, here are 10 practical ways I’ve incorporated AI into my professional life that has undoubtably made my life as a PM easier.

1. Take meeting notes

Any high performing PM will tell you, taking notes in a meeting is a key communication tactic to ensure meetings are useful. That’s because notes help ensure important information and decisions are captured, which in turn helps keep teams aligned and informed. Unfortunately, taking succinct notes is an art that takes time. And when we’re in a fast-paced environment, we don’t always have that luxury. Or we find ourselves tabling the notes to send later when we’re more susceptible to forget. That’s where AI comes in.

I use Microsoft Teams for my work which allows me to record my meetings so that AI can automatically recap what was discussed and decisions made, for everyone in the meeting to access via the Teams’ chat, immediately after the…
